Welcome to Easy to Linger. This podcast will cover the history of Ponce Inlet, Florida including racing on the beach and the lighthouse. I recommend walking or riding a bicycle on the beach while listening. Start at the restaurant, Racing’s North Turn located at 4511 S Atlantic Ave, Ponce Inlet, FL 32127 . There is parking across the street from the restaurant and beach access on the south side. From North Turn walk south, the ocean will be on your left. This part of the beach doesn’t allow driving. If you walk south far enough you will see wooden pillars to block cars from driving in this area. It’s around two miles away. Once you cross those pillars you will be on a beach that allows driving. You have great views of the lighthouse on that section of the beach. Beyond that, you may walk on the Ponce Inlet Jetty. Surfers like that area because of the strong waves. Turn around to return to your starting point whenever you feel like it.

First I will talk about the history of Racing’s North Turn. The restaurant stands where a racetrack once started.
