Congratulations! You are pregnant! Now comes the question we get a lot from moms to be; what is safe for me to use? This episode we are going to talk about what ingredients to avoid, alternative ingredients that are great, tools and ingredients that are safe to combat hormonal acne, and treatments that are safe for pregnant moms in our studio. Because we all know being pregnant is a miracle of life; but a lot of times hormonal acne, hyper-pigmentation, and other issues can arise.
Products to avoid:
- Retinol
- Benzoyl Peroxide
- Salicylic Acids
- Chemical Sunscreen
- Hydroquinone
Safe product alternatives:

You can still get brow shapes and tints throughout your pregnancy. Lash lifts should be avoided during first trimester, but can be done in second and third trimester, as well as while you are breastfeeding. Avoid brow laminations during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Drink of the episode: Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Cranberry Bellini
Ingredients: Martinelli's Gold Medal Sparkling Apple Cranberry and a tablespoon of apple butter.
Prepare Glasses- Champagne Flutes - Mix Sugar and Cinnamon together to rim the glass*
How to Make: Pour Sparkling Apple Cranberry into glass, add 1 tbsp apple butter and stir and serve.
