Description

Prosecutors in Los Angeles will not seek the death penalty for Robert Isaiah Barceleau, accused of killing General Hospital actor Johnny Wactor. Barceleau, 19, could face life in prison if convicted of murder and attempted robbery. Hes also charged with grand theft and faces special circumstance allegations. Co-defendant Sergio Estrada, also 19, faces similar charges but not the special circumstance or firearm discharge allegations. Barceleau allegedly admitted to shooting Wactor, claiming he was defending an accomplice. Wactor was shot after discovering the suspects attempting to steal a catalytic converter from his car. All four suspects were arrested in August 2024.
