Psalm 110 is quoted by the New Testament more than any other Old Testament text. The question is, Why?
Jesus sees himself in this text, he tells us that David was writing about him. It seems that David was also aware of the promise of Genesis 3:15 , and saw his coming greater son as the fulfillment of that promise.
In other words, Jesus and the Apostles see Psalm 110 as an interpretive key to the Old Testament.
