He is also a part-time psychologist in Watseka IL, at the Iroquois Mental Health Center, where he provides psychotherapy to the rural community. Barry discusses his work with rural communities as both a social worker and a psychologist. He also brings insight into his work as a psychology professor of forensic psychology and social work.
This episode was recorded the week before the shelter-in-place orders for the state of Illinois due to the COVID-19 crisis. He was in the midst of switching to on-line teaching, and this interview touches on the changes that are affecting his work as a professor during the current pandemic.
