Arthur, who is battling his dual identity, not only finds true love but also the music that has always been inside of him. This is the movie's original summary, which is brief and a little confusing in that it seems to promise something quite different from what the movie really depicts. First things first: Joker: Folie à Deux is a true musical. It's one of those ones where the characters enter a dreamlike state in the midst of the action, complete with ballet. Although Phillips' point of view is undoubtedly alienating, it is brave nonetheless.
