On May 31, 2014, three 12 year old girls were having what seemed like an innocent birthday sleepover. Little did Payton Leutner know, she was about to become the target of a vicious attack. The attackers? Two girls she thought were her best friends. Their reason? To pledge their allegiance to the fictional character, Slender Man.
