Roots United Records is thrilled to present «Rostix (Part 1)», the first installment of Dx2ov's new album. Originally planned as a 15-track album, we've decided to release it in two parts to enhance the listening experience.

@dx2ov, a Moscow-based musician and curator of the «VRAG» project, explores post-genre sonic structures. His work expertly combines the depth of leftfield music with the expressive power of weird beats. With releases across various formats and labels including GOSTZVUК, Dirtytapes, Floristmums Rec, Neoviolence and collaborations with AL-90 of Fuselab, he's established himself as one of the most captivating experimental musicians in Russia.

«Rostix (Part 1)» presents an unexpected synthesis: a fragmented digital reality viewed through a lens of meta-irony. Here, digital artefacts and sounds sourced from social media are transformed into a complex, multi-layered musical collage.

The album explores online reflection, quests, digital prosthetics, excessive screen time, intellectual absurdity, self-analysis, and the ethereal presence of artificial intelligence. It blurs the boundaries between reality and illusion, inviting the listener to explore the themes of short attention spans, superficial online interactions, and the search for authenticity in the fleeting digital world.
