Off top from 1986 to 1994.
00:00:31
UNC's Lady Tar Hills at played soccer won nine championships in a row.
00:00:36
Lady music, this is the Dominique Fox worth show.
00:00:39
Welcome to the Dominique Fox worth show.
00:00:48
We are joined by Bill Barnwell and Charlie Cravitz.
00:00:52
You didn't like that off top, it wasn't.
00:00:54
It was delivered sloppily or something, you weren't a fan.
00:00:57
It's just very innocuous.
00:00:59
I feel like usually there's more bite to the off-tops.
00:01:01
I was trying to think of something that was related to the Patrick Mahomes the vacation of all of our lives.
00:01:08
And since he's about to get three in a row, I decided to point out that you'll never catch the Lady Hills in their soccer team because they won nine in a row.
00:01:17
So just, I mean, to set a bar for him, maybe he will get it, but we need to set a goal for him that's attainable.
00:01:22
101 games unbeaten during that stretch as well.
00:01:25
Were they all one score games though?
00:01:27
Were they kicking it off the uprights and in those games, Charlie?
00:01:31
I don't think so.
00:01:32
Is this going to be a Bill Barnwell celebration show?
00:01:35
No, because I picked the Eagles to decline this year.
00:01:38
This is going to be a Bill Barnwell quietly tries to get through the show.
00:01:41
But I feel like through the course of this year, what, every week when we had some discussion about maybe the Chiefs aren't great, you were the voice of reason entire time.
00:01:52
Like, hey, guys, the Chiefs are still the Chiefs.
00:01:54
So like, we can focus on that first.
00:01:55
We don't have to get to the Eagles next.
00:01:57
We'll focus on the Chiefs first.
00:01:59
I would like to point out, Bill said they would go 16 and 1.
00:02:02
They went 15 and 2.
00:02:04
So Bill's prediction on the Chiefs?
00:02:06
God, I have to count for Carson Wentz weekend team.
00:02:09
He got me.
00:02:10
How dare you, Bill?
00:02:12
How dare you?
00:02:13
I do want to pull the room first though, because I'm happy to start with Chiefs bills.
00:02:18
I'm sure you are.
00:02:19
But I'm also happy if you want me to sit in the 55-23 beat down of the Eagles over my beloved commanders, which I took over the show and lambasted Bill all last week.
00:02:33
If you want to start there, I got no cope.
00:02:35
I can start there.
00:02:36
I'll leave it to you guys.
00:02:37
Which game do you want to start with?
00:02:38
We'll get there.
00:02:39
OK.
00:02:39
Let's start with-- You want to hear Chiefs.
00:02:41
I can't believe you're edging my pain.
00:02:44
No, we're not.
00:02:45
I mean, it's just we care about the game.
00:02:49
That actually was a game.
00:02:50
OK.
00:02:51
Speaking of edging, the Buffalo Bills and their attempts to make it to the Super Bowl, it's short for yet another season, unfortunately.
00:02:58
It's going to feel so good when they finally get there.
00:03:00
It's going to feel so good when they finally get to the Super Bowl and win one.
00:03:05
I mean, this is-- Yeah.
00:03:07
I'm not going to continue on the edging jokes.
00:03:09
Let's go, Charlie.
00:03:10
What's the question?
00:03:11
13 seconds game, really.
00:03:13
That was a real patino moment.
00:03:17
OK.
00:03:17
So the Chiefs-- they're back in the Super Bowl.
00:03:20
They broke 30 guys, 32, 29.
00:03:23
It was a pretty thrilling game that wasn't thrilling down the stretch after the Chiefs were able to close them out by getting a couple first downs.
00:03:33
There was a-- I don't know-- controversial fourth down spot.
00:03:36
Dalton Concade had a ball go through his hands when Josh Allen flung it up with these being suplexed by two Chiefs defenders.
00:03:42
But Mahomes is inevitable.
00:03:44
He made every play down the stretch.
00:03:46
The Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl.
00:03:48
How do you feel, though, about the way the Chiefs one and the way their paths has led them back to the precipice of the three-peat?
00:03:57
I mean, I think the way I feel impressed with the way that they won, and there's something about them winning in this way,
00:04:07
in this game, that also feels like it's vindicating for their entire season, where I'm watching them play these games in a way.
00:04:15
And I think I came around some towards the end of the season to recognize that this is not because their team is not good enough.
00:04:22
It's a lot because they had some issues, but it's because they play the game that's in front of them.
00:04:27
And they always recognize that the best place they can be in is in a close game.
00:04:33
And anything that would make it difficult for them to perform in a close game, I think they are shying away from.
00:04:38
They'll let you mistake yourself out of the game.
00:04:41
But if you're not going to do that, they're completely comfortable, because in those moments, they managed to sh*t out of the game.
00:04:46
Spags comes out with his-- he did the same thing again, where he's like, I'm not going to blitz you all game.
00:04:50
But on the most pivotal down, he blitz.
00:04:52
And the bills were actually ready for it the first time, because they ran a screen, but they ran to the ball and tackled him.
00:04:59
And then again, the next time, he had another blitz.
00:05:01
That-- I mean, pretty much destroyed that play, even though Josh Allen was amazing.
00:05:06
Can we-- I want to start with that fourth downplay, actually, because it's so fascinating to me.
00:05:10
So go back to earlier this season, when the bills beat the chiefs.
00:05:15
That fourth and two, same play.
00:05:17
Bills called Mesh.
00:05:18
They chiefs actually dropped him to zone, covered it really well.
00:05:21
But Josh Allen ran for a touchdown to end the game.
00:05:25
So after all the time outs for this final play, fourth and the season, or fourth and probably the season, what are the bills run?
00:05:31
They run Mesh.
00:05:32
Same thing.
00:05:33
Chiefs did not drop in play zone this time.
00:05:35
Like Dominique said, they blitzed.
00:05:36
The bills were in a condensed split, condensed formation.
00:05:40
And so everyone close to the offensive line makes it harder to assess out who's coming.
00:05:44
Who's not coming on a blitz?
00:05:46
And that's exactly what played out for the chiefs here.
00:05:47
A cornerback came out of the slot, was unblocked.
00:05:51
What was the fifth thing to come?
00:05:53
The thing that really stands out to me, though, and the thing that I want to push back on is the idea that that is a drop from Dalton Kincage.
00:06:01
I think we are being too harsh on Dalton Kincage.
00:06:04
That is a play where the ball is getting thrown up.
00:06:06
Who knows where it's going.
00:06:08
He's not running it as part of a route.
00:06:09
It's just a total chaos.
00:06:11
The play has been broken up.
00:06:12
Like, saying it's a drop, when we use that same word to describe the Mark Andrews play from last week, seems horribly unfair.
00:06:20
Those are two totally different things.
00:06:21
What was a drop on a play where the ball is coming to a guy who was open, who knew he was getting the football in that spot in the scheme of the play and did not catch it?
00:06:29
This was like a total cast miracle play.
00:06:31
Feel free to add whatever adjective or descriptor you want to the word drop for Mark Andrews or for Dalton Kincage.
00:06:40
But I will not allow you to change the word drop itself.
00:06:43
'Cause that's a damn drop.
00:06:44
I'm gonna f*** how you get to a bill.
00:06:46
I mean, it sucks.
00:06:47
I hate it too.
00:06:48
I'm the guy, the King of Empathy on this show.
00:06:50
I will feel sorry for players for just about any damn thing.
00:06:53
And I feel, no, no, no, no, no.
00:06:55
I feel sorry for Mark Andrews.
00:06:56
I feel sorry for Dalton Kincage.
00:06:58
It sucks.
00:06:59
But what I ain't gonna do is lie to the man and tell him he ain't drop it.
00:07:02
That's a drop pass, man.
00:07:03
Drop pass.
00:07:04
I don't know, dude.
00:07:05
It hit him in the forearm.
00:07:06
(laughs)
00:07:07
I'm sorry.
00:07:08
'Cause he dove and caught all that, like, ankle height on the forearm.
00:07:12
Okay, we're not doing this.
00:07:14
So that's the situation, that play from Spagnola.
00:07:18
I think it was an incredible call.
00:07:20
Until your point, they wanted to run mesh.
00:07:21
So like, I understand the play call that situation.
00:07:24
You have to condense split because you want to be able to pick them off if they go blitz and you're a man.
00:07:30
The challenge, and they had a zone beater over the top.
00:07:34
Also, but the challenge in that situation was they blitz and they still played a three over three zone, which like took away the mesh and took away, should've taken away the deep pass.
00:07:45
But it felt like the pressure also hurt the chiefs and that cook, it looked at me and I could be wrong, obviously.
00:07:51
But it looked at me like cook should've been the deep third player.
00:07:54
Brian cooked the safety for the chiefs.
00:07:56
He, because of the pressure, he settled his feet and didn't take into account that Josh Allen is Josh Allen and he could throw it because that's how he got open.
00:08:06
And is it, it seemed like it was supposed to be three over three and the coverage broke down.
00:08:10
So I'm sorry, Dalton concade that dropped the ball and it was a tough catch, but there were opportunities.
00:08:17
I guess that's a, that kind of cuts a little bit against what I was arguing about them in these situations because while the play worked out for them, they kind of blew that.
00:08:27
Yeah, yeah, but, but when you, when you blow it up once and you kind of get lucky, it's lucky.
00:08:33
If you do it every single year in a key situation, that's not a lot.
00:08:37
You're causing those mistakes to happen from the other team.
00:08:39
Yeah, I mean, this is, it's crazy like the, the way these, the chiefs bills games have ended into your point, Dalton.
00:08:44
It's not just, it's not just luck.
00:08:46
It's the fact that they put themselves in the position over and over again.
00:08:48
It's the 13 seconds game.
00:08:50
It's basmissing the field goal last year.
00:08:52
And now it's this.
00:08:53
And it's just every like, it's heart-wrenching for Bill's fans and, you know, elation for chiefs fans.
00:09:00
But it, to me, like, it's, makes me start to wonder if Alan is ever going to beat Mahomes in the playoffs.
00:09:08
I mean, the, the one time they lost in this round of the playoffs was the, the bird.
00:09:12
Oh, yeah, that's right.
00:09:14
Burrow in D4, that's right.
00:09:15
So, Burrow game and Mahomes was terrible, uncharacteristically in the second half of that game.
00:09:20
And the other time before that was against the Patriots when D4 jumped off sides and ruined the game ceiling interception.
00:09:27
And I think, so I, I agree with what you're saying.
00:09:30
But in that situation, they did blow the coverage.
00:09:34
So you're right.
00:09:35
But they did blow the coverage.
00:09:36
You're right that they, that the play still didn't work.
00:09:40
And they made all the plays.
00:09:41
I don't know how it would have turned out.
00:09:42
But this, one of the interesting things about watching the plays, we were sitting and watching this game in the green room.
00:09:49
And we all asked ourselves when the bill scored.
00:09:52
Should they go for two when they scored to tie the game?
00:09:55
And it's just like this, these questions that we asked ourselves when there's six minutes left that we would never ask ourselves if you're playing any other team.
00:10:04
And I, I know it's a long way to get to this, but it's also how I feel when, how I imagine their opponents feel.
00:10:11
Yeah.
00:10:12
Where they're like, we're not comfortable here.
00:10:14
And it's not, they don't play terrible, but they're like, oh, this is different.
00:10:18
What are we going to do?
00:10:20
Yeah.
00:10:20
And it always ends up biting them at some point.
00:10:22
And I mean, you could feel that I felt like on the first Chiefs Drive and that final one, where it was complete command.
00:10:28
There was never a question that they're going to scheme someone open my homes, going to make the right decision, deliver the ball on time, or they're going to be able to run for a first down.
00:10:36
And it's funny because I think when everybody else plays the bills, that's the feeling they have, right?
00:10:41
Oh, crap.
00:10:42
We left too much time for Josh Allen or, oh, we have to budget like we know Josh Allen's going to come down the field and score.
00:10:48
So we have to think this is going to be a two for one, not a we're going to run out the clock kind of series.
00:10:52
And that is what the Chiefs do not only there for one else, but also due to the bills.
00:10:56
This has been a great run.
00:10:58
Obviously the Chiefs are on like the pristine run.
00:11:01
When the Patriots Dynasty ended, we're like, what an anomaly.
00:11:04
We'll never see that ever again.
00:11:06
This can't happen in a hard cap sport like the NFL.
00:11:10
There's too much parity.
00:11:11
And then they just pass the torch.
00:11:12
And my homes has been to the AFC Championship or the Super Bowl or won the Super Bowl every single year.
00:11:18
He's been a starter.
00:11:19
But the bills are in a precarious spot where they are.
00:11:22
Always the brides made never the bride of this.
00:11:24
Or Josh Allen's the first quarterback to lose four playoffs starts against another quarterback.
00:11:29
All of those are the Patrick Mahomes, same with McDermott to Andy Reed on the coach side of it.
00:11:34
Do you need to shake something up if you're the bills against they're not bringing back Sean McDermott to get over the hop, because this is something where they are stuck against Tiger Woods on Sunday against Joe Kovitch and center court against Tom Brady.
00:11:47
This is the same thing.
00:11:48
I want I want to respect this answer.
00:11:50
But I have I feel the same way about this or respect this question, but I feel the same way about this question.
00:11:54
As I do about Bill Sand that can K drop that pass.
00:11:57
I know.
00:11:58
I mean, I'm just asking questions.
00:12:01
OK, you can ask the questions.
00:12:05
The assumption is, or yeah, the assumption that's implied and this is that you get a better coach.
00:12:09
The assumption is just to shake up the snow glove.
00:12:11
Oh, yeah, that's never been a strategy.
00:12:13
This is a sheer shake up.
00:12:15
This is no strategy to this.
00:12:17
It's just surely put someone else in there and see if you have like, shake the magic eight ball and see if you get a different response.
00:12:22
It's just like, hey, let's run it back for a fifth time and lose by three.
00:12:29
I mean, I get your point.
00:12:31
So I got it.
00:12:32
I got it.
00:12:33
I got it.
00:12:34
Charlie, I'm going to say something.
00:12:36
And it's going to blow your mind.
00:12:37
And you're going to agree with me.
00:12:39
The bills need to hire Steve Spagnolo as their head coach.
00:12:44
Pretty good.
00:12:45
Pretty good.
00:12:47
Pretty good.
00:12:47
You take away my home's as defensive genius.
00:12:50
Now, you have the guy who always has the crazy blitch for the exact moment at the right time.
00:12:54
Is that not fulfilling the answer for your question, even though your question is wrong.
00:12:58
There's one man who knows how to scheme up to stop Patrick Holmes.
00:13:01
It's bags.
00:13:02
I mean, it was a silly question.
00:13:05
But Bill gave a pretty interesting answer.
00:13:07
A pretty good answer.
00:13:08
I feel it.
00:13:09
No, that's a great answer.
00:13:10
It makes the question seem less silly.
00:13:11
I take it back.
00:13:12
You got to take shots now, feel sometimes.
00:13:14
And just throw it up, see what happens.
00:13:15
My answer was the one million dollar buyout for a different bill.
00:13:20
Oh, Bill is like, you could buy me out of the show for a million dollars, too.
00:13:24
I'll happily so that can take my spot for a million bucks.
00:13:27
You'll go coach, shot challenge.
00:13:29
I'll go coach, shot challenge.
00:13:31
The only reason I would say no to this Charlie is I think about the Colts.
00:13:34
This was the Colts being on the flip side of this with Tony Dungee and Peyton Manning.
00:13:38
And eventually it happened.
00:13:41
Like you just had all the things come to guys of the bills were pictures.
00:13:45
The Patriots were a little bit worse.
00:13:47
They didn't have the same playmakers.
00:13:48
They had earlier in that run.
00:13:50
The Colts were a little better.
00:13:51
They got a little healthier on defense.
00:13:53
And it just flipped.
00:13:55
And not they won, but here.
00:13:57
So like, if you were to coach, you felt really confident about.
00:14:00
I would say sure.
00:14:01
But for the sake of shaking it up, I just think you have to hope that you're going to be able to figure it out one of these years.
00:14:06
It's funny to just say it's Tony Dungee because I thought you were making the case for it when you said Tony Dungee because it wasn't Tony Dungee that coach that built up that box team and then you just jumped in and swooped in and won the championship with a,
00:14:18
I mean, on the strength of that defense, mostly even though Grooton was like an offensive money coach, it's funny that Tony Dungee represents both shake up the snow globe and keep that snow globe nice and secure.
00:14:31
Just leave it right on the wall.
00:14:33
Yeah, I mean, I don't think that's the assumption there is like the probability that you'll end up with a better coach or a coach that makes things improves things.
00:14:42
Like, I'm like, Dermot, I recognize their in-game decision-making and management stuff that you could knock him for, but I've always been impressed with how he's made the best of the defenses that he's had despite the injuries and the relative lack of talent,
00:14:56
I would say.
00:14:57
And I don't know whose decision it was to make the swish to Joe Brady.
00:15:00
That was like a gutsy decision to move on from Joe Brady or to change to Joe Brady as the coordinator when Dorsey had Alan playing pretty well.
00:15:09
So yeah, I think he's done.
00:15:11
I mean, he gives a terrible speech from time to time as we know from who's a sub-stack was that?
00:15:17
That pointed out that he made a 9/11 motivational speech on the wrong team.
00:15:22
It's a tough scene.
00:15:23
You don't remember that?
00:15:24
No, of course I remember.
00:15:26
Of course it's a speech.
00:15:27
I just don't remember who's a sub-stack.
00:15:28
I think about it literally every single time I see Sean return on the screen.
00:15:32
It's the first thing I think about.
00:15:34
And I'm like, nope, can't make a joke there.
00:15:36
But no, he's an excellent defensive coach.
00:15:39
He's been an excellent coach.
00:15:40
And to be fair, this was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the bills, as they were getting there.
00:15:44
It was, it's also a rebuilding two years for the chiefs.
00:15:49
Yeah.
00:15:49
Yes.
00:15:50
But the difference is though, they've also now beat him the chiefs four times in a row in the regular season.
00:15:58
So it's not like this situation where they never have answers for the chiefs.
00:16:02
They have answers.
00:16:03
They just have the answers at the wrong time, seemingly.
00:16:08
I'm sure we're going to have plenty of time to talk Patrick and Holmes and all that stuff.
00:16:11
But generally about this team, the most impressive thing.
00:16:13
And this is very reminiscent of the Patriots dynasty is that they find different ways to do it.
00:16:18
And I think that's when you talk about modern dynasties.
00:16:21
You think about the old dynasties that we think of in the past are like the Steelers and the 49ers and the Cowboys.
00:16:28
It's very stagnant because free agency wasn't a thing.
00:16:31
That seems to be the deciding factor of these more modern dynasties.
00:16:38
Is that coaching really matters?
00:16:39
And the flexibility, the ability to take the ingredients that you have and make a team around it.
00:16:46
And it always feels like it's coherent, even if it doesn't start out that way.
00:16:50
Or even if you look at the roster and you're like, how are we going to make this work?
00:16:55
And they found a way year after year.
00:16:57
Of course, it always helps that one of the main ingredients is Patrick, my Holmes.
00:17:01
That's really nice.
00:17:02
But even when they won last year on the strength of their defense mostly, it was like the pieces that they had.
00:17:09
They ended up missing on the draft and our offensive pieces and nailing the defensive pieces in the draft.
00:17:15
And then they became a defensive oriented team.
00:17:17
And they've done it again this year where they have found ways to work around their shortcomings.
00:17:22
And still, they still haven't answered the receiver question.
00:17:26
They haven't found someone to lock that position down.
00:17:28
But they find ways to run the ball and hit Travis Kelsey.
00:17:31
And my Holmes had more Russian yards than Josh Allen, which-- Yeah.
00:17:34
--and two Russian touchdowns.
00:17:35
And two Russian touchdowns.
00:17:36
And he had an awesome touchdown run, which he completely ruined by the worst spike in NFL history.
00:17:43
That was a day with a really bad celebration.
00:17:45
But Quinion Mitchell's celebration was the best.
00:17:48
But also, my Holmes can't win everything.
00:17:51
So at least he messed up the spike.
00:17:52
He just plays so well in every high-leveled game.
00:17:55
It's like 9.4 yards of the attempt, no turnovers, two Russian touchdowns, accounting for three touchdowns, executing the offense to give them a lead early and executing the offense down the stretch.
00:18:05
It went from this insane playmaker to someone who was just the best decision-maker and most accurate guy in these situations that we've ever seen.
00:18:12
Yeah, but even go back to that final drive.
00:18:14
I mean, he took a sack in that goal-to-go situation through that screen low.
00:18:18
He's not perfect.
00:18:19
He just is really good.
00:18:21
And then you have, I think, a team effort around him that they've boughtfully built.
00:18:28
I mean, this is a team that went and traded Tyree Kill and built a broader roster and did not spend as much on their top level players.
00:18:35
The bills have kind of emulated that by trading to find digs and trying to build a deeper receiving core.
00:18:40
The bills have gone with more two tight and sets the way the chiefs did.
00:18:42
The bills have gone more into the run the way the chiefs have.
00:18:45
I think the biggest difference between these two teams is the chiefs have Chris Jones.
00:18:48
And that changes the way you can protect.
00:18:50
That changes the way you guy who can move on one.
00:18:53
Obviously, he swung so many games.
00:18:56
He had some very impressive rushes from the first half of this game, but he didn't swing the key place of this game the way he did last year.
00:19:02
But the bills took that swing on free agency and signing Von Miller and it didn't work.
00:19:07
And now I would assume Von Miller's gone after this year.
00:19:10
I think the question for the bills is, are you taking a big swing this off season to change things?
00:19:14
Even if it's not necessarily changing your coaching staff, which I don't think they're going to do, would they take a swing on trading for a player?
00:19:21
They're trading for a pass rusher, trying to sign someone in free agency.
00:19:24
I think they have that one big shot to go and get someone who can flip these games.
00:19:29
I just don't know who that would be necessarily.
00:19:31
I mean, I think Chris Jones and McDuffy like give their defense some flexibility that most teams don't have and it matters.
00:19:39
And when we talk about like the playmakers on offense and like the difference makers on offense, like we spend a lot of time focusing on them and we don't I don't think appreciate how important it is or how valuable it is to have a corner that can give you the flexibility to do things that you wouldn't always become real doing.
00:19:55
And obviously Chris Jones, he determines the slide of the line which makes it really easy to scheme blitzes because you know one thing is they're not going to leave Chris Jones on the island if they can help it.
00:20:07
That Collins got McDuffy today though.
00:20:09
He got him.
00:20:10
That pass was insane.
00:20:12
That pass dropped right in and there was a great catch.
00:20:14
It was he did get him.
00:20:15
But I mean, that's the life of a cornerback.
00:20:16
You're not going to shut people out.
00:20:18
He still was really good.
00:20:20
It's also this weird thing where the chiefs have a key player for the other team get injured in the game and then they just exploit that weakness over and over again.
00:20:29
In the Super Bowl, it was Drake Greenlock going out, tearing his Achilles running onto the field.
00:20:34
In this Bill's game, it was Christian Benford, suffered a concussion early in the game and then they basically just targeted Kaya Elam for the next four quarters of the game.
00:20:42
- The interesting thing about that, we talked a lot about the defensive strategy.
00:20:46
The offensive strategy in this game was clear.
00:20:48
It was like we're going to get you out of zone.
00:20:50
And the very first few drives, they're like we're going to RPO you to death because in RPO you have run in pass responsibilities when you're in zone and it's like a zone behind you or the running gap in front of you.
00:21:01
When you're in man, you don't have those responsibilities.
00:21:03
You just go to wherever your man is.
00:21:05
And so they ran the RPO until the bills were like, all right, well, I guess we have to play man and then they just ate him alive and that.
00:21:14
It's just nothing you can do.
00:21:15
They don't have, their corners are not man corners and they wanted Elam to be that when they drafted him but he hasn't panned out.
00:21:23
They just don't have that type of person out.
00:21:25
They got covered three corners is what they have.
00:21:28
- Do you think big deal, little deal, no deal, hard pivot on this of the spot where Josh Allen did not get the first down on the QB sneak that led to that?
00:21:36
Because from the side angle it did look like he was across the 40.
00:21:39
- Yeah, well, I mean, I go no deal.
00:21:43
(laughs)
00:21:44
I don't know.
00:21:45
Bill, I don't know what that exasperation was if it was frustrating with feeling like chiefs get all the calls or frustration because it's a question that you don't wanna have to deal with.
00:21:55
- More the latter than the former.
00:21:56
I would say little deal, like yes.
00:21:59
If you asked me, in a vacuum bill, do I think Josh Allen got the first down?
00:22:02
The answer is yes.
00:22:03
No question to me, Josh Allen got it.
00:22:06
Chris Jones standing up at exactly the right time to shield the football from the camera.
00:22:11
That's MVP stuff, know your angles if you're gonna be a player on the field but flip the scenario here.
00:22:19
Let's say the chiefs don't pick up a fourth and one and they show replays and you can't see the football behind a player and the league flips it and the chiefs get the first down.
00:22:28
People would be going nuts right now.
00:22:30
So to me, I think that call was flimsy enough either way that I can't be mad about it one way or another.
00:22:37
- Yeah, I mean, I think I agree with you.
00:22:38
I thought he got it also, but I also am not as a neutral observer.
00:22:43
I'm not like moved to think that this was some sort of demonstration of bias or this.
00:22:50
I mean, this doesn't fall into tuck rule category where it feels like it was more game defining than this one actually felt.
00:22:56
- This isn't, this isn't the referee saying if you keep going off sides, we're gonna award the other team a touch down.
00:23:02
- I didn't know that was a thing that could happen.
00:23:03
- It is.
00:23:04
- I didn't know that was the first stop.
00:23:05
- Bill, did you know that?
00:23:06
- I did.
00:23:07
I know that because I, that's something I've read about for like the 12th and on the field penalty when you have like 12th and on the field to try and one time off the clock late.
00:23:14
- Oh yeah.
00:23:15
- That is a, one of the arguments against doing that which I have suggested as a strategy before to teams.
00:23:20

00:26:29
- That's a good strategy.
00:26:30
- We can pivot to that game.
00:26:32
Oh, you ready?
00:26:32
- Yep, so obviously I talked a lot about Jaden Daniels over the last couple of weeks.
00:26:38
He still rules, not getting off that amazing season, but the commanders got absolutely thumped 55-23 by an Eagles team that looks like the best roster from top to bottom of football.
00:26:51
There's a pretty flawless game from Jalen Hurts.
00:26:54
- Jalen Hurts.
00:26:55
- Say Juan Barclay took their first offensive play.
00:26:58
50 plus yards to the house.
00:27:01
And they never really looked back.
00:27:04
The commanders did not play a clean game.
00:27:06
They had multiple turnovers, not that it was a difference.
00:27:09
The difference in the game when there was such a difference in a talent on the field.
00:27:13
But what do you think we learned from the Eagles dominating performance over the commanders?
00:27:19
- Nothing.
00:27:20
(laughing)
00:27:21
Like I don't, I mean, I think maybe we could have some learning from the commanders.
00:27:29
I don't think I learned anything about the Eagles.
00:27:32
We thought the Eagles were better in every position.
00:27:34
I think we all agreed that we thought Jalen Hurts had the ability to take advantage of compromised defenses with those talented receivers.
00:27:42
Like they did exactly what we expected them to do.
00:27:45
I think it's possible that you could put a positive, I'm surprised you haven't put a positive spin on this game for Jalen Daniels because-- - There is a bit.
00:27:52
- Definitely.
00:27:53
- I don't know.
00:27:54
I was just surprised you haven't gotten there yet.
00:27:55
We've already been talking about this for two whole minutes.
00:27:58
You haven't already said it because I walked away from that game feeling good about Jalen Daniels.
00:28:02
Everyone around him.
00:28:04
- Not everyone.
00:28:05
Tressway.
00:28:06
- Oh, Tressway.
00:28:07
- Dork, Tressway is a dog, dog.
00:28:11
- No, I mean, look, I have to eat it.
00:28:13
After all of the Jalen Daniels talk, I thought coming into this game, I thought there was a path for the commanders to win.
00:28:20
That path was playing an incredibly clean game and playing from ahead.
00:28:26
They played an incredibly sloppy game and played from behind the entire time.
00:28:29
So it was very quick that their path to victory was gonna become significantly more complicated.
00:28:33
But you can't feel it.
00:28:34
Daniels was absolutely looked like he belonged.
00:28:37
And then that's each NSU championship game against what might be the most talented defense in the NFL playing from behind from most of the game.
00:28:44
So that's an incredible positive.
00:28:46
You're gonna go into next year with $100 million of cap space, a good GM, Daniel Snyder furious across the pond and a potentially transcendent quarterback.
00:28:56
That's an incredible positive that we haven't had ever in my life.
00:29:00
- You're back to how dominant the Eagles were.
00:29:01
- You asked for it.
00:29:02
- I didn't ask for it.
00:29:03
- I said it.
00:29:04
- I was just saying, let's go and start glazing.
00:29:07
I didn't, I didn't have a request to glazing.
00:29:09
- That was Cope.
00:29:10
- That was, it was Copey Glazed.
00:29:11
- It was Copey Glazed.
00:29:13
- It was Glazed Cope.
00:29:15
All right, Bill, what do you think?
00:29:16
- The, the Krispy Kreme light was turned along and it said, "Hot, glazed Cope for Charlie Crap, it's there."
00:29:23
I'll go to the Eagle side of this.
00:29:26
I don't know that I agree with you, Dominique.
00:29:27
- Like, we've sort of for the last two months been like, okay, say Quamparcus, great.
00:29:32
Defense is great.
00:29:34
Jalen hurts?
00:29:35
We don't know, we don't know if he's good.
00:29:37
He's kind of hurt, he's banged up.
00:29:38
Doesn't look great.
00:29:39
This was the best he's looked in months to me.
00:29:41
Jalen hurts in this game.
00:29:42
It's a passer.
00:29:43
I mean, that fourth and that fourth down deep completion of AJ Brown.
00:29:46
We felt confident enough to throw that football and put it in exactly the place he needed to.
00:29:50
He was effective as a runner.
00:29:51
Even without, you know, with the injuries up front where you had different centers for each half of this game with Dickerson playing the first half and then Jerkins coming in for the second half.
00:30:02
You know, it didn't feel like the commanders had any answer.
00:30:06
And this was a game where Sayquan, of course, was incredible for plays, but it wasn't like he was on the field as much as he normally is because he was kind of struggling a little bit.
00:30:13
They were in kind of a 50/50 split with Gainwell until Gainwell got hurt on return duties.
00:30:18
And so I felt like more of this fell on Jalen hurts and he was up to the task, which is something I know in the past he has been capable of, but we have not seen that guy against,
00:30:30
you know, in a big moment really for a couple of months now.
00:30:33
- I guess, I mean, I didn't have any doubt that, and to Charlie's point, he said that the commanders had to play a clean game and play from a hit.
00:30:43
- They were dirty.
00:30:44
- And so I feel the same way about Jalen hurts is like, the question that I have remaining about Jalen hurts was like, if he's from behind and things are a little choppy and the opposing team knows he has to pass,
00:30:59
that's the Jalen hurts that we haven't seen show up.
00:31:02
Like, this Jalen hurts, I knew it was in there.
00:31:04
I guess I wouldn't have been surprised if he had a poor game given the injury and how mediocre their passing Gain's been up into this point.
00:31:13
But knowing that when Jalen hurts has the ability to threaten the team, the opposing team, because they have the lead with that offensive line and bashing them with Sequan Barclay,
00:31:24
Sequan Barclay breaking off huge runs, like, can he complete passes to AJ Brown and Devonte Smith against cover three and man covers?
00:31:33
Like, I kind of felt like I knew that.
00:31:35
I guess the ceiling was, the ceiling that he reached today was probably higher than I would have anticipated, but I'm not surprised by it.
00:31:42
- He was excellent and the commander's defense is bad.
00:31:46
- Right.
00:31:47
- They're bad.
00:31:48
- Am I wrong, so am I being...
00:31:51
- Barclay did rip off huge runs, but Jalen hurts was so central to their offensive success today in a way that I think was a tiny bit surprising and raises what I think they're ceiling is.
00:31:59
Like, they ran that, like, the commanders were so worried about Barclay.
00:32:04
They ran that little RPO and he's able to roll right or throw to his right, and whether it's to God or to AJ Brown.
00:32:09
He just made his decision making was so crisp and it was so easy and it was so good driving the ball to different parts of the field.
00:32:15
That to me, that was genuinely impressive, even if it was against a bad defense.
00:32:19
Like, it's 55 points in the conference championship.
00:32:21
- Oh, don't get me wrong.
00:32:23
I'm not saying it's not impressive.
00:32:24
I'm saying that I'm not surprised by it.
00:32:26
Like, I expected him to be able to do that.
00:32:28
I would be surprised if they were down 14 and at halftime and that he came out and sliced and diced them for the second half.
00:32:38
That's the thing that I would be surprised by.
00:32:39
Can he, like, that's the, that's, I feel like that's the best part of his game.
00:32:43
- This is the Lamar criticism, though, right?
00:32:45
Like, the idea, okay, well, he never does it.
00:32:47
When they're down 14, well, they're never down 14 'cause they are always winning.
00:32:51
So, how can we judge them off of that?
00:32:53
- No, I agree.
00:32:54
It feels like you guys are gaslighting me.
00:32:56
- No, no, no, no.
00:32:57
- And that, like, I'm not saying that he's bad.
00:32:59
I know that he's good.
00:33:00
And I know that part of the reason why they're never down 14 is that.
00:33:02
- You're saying he has the ability to do this?
00:33:03
What I'm saying is we have not seen him do this for so long that I kind of forgot he's capable of it or thought maybe he's so banged up that it doesn't have that in him right now.
00:33:13
- That's how I felt.
00:33:14
- Yeah.
00:33:15
- Yeah.
00:33:15
I didn't feel like in this iteration of the Eagles that he had been, I mean, I know they were obviously worse with Tan and Rikki and Kenny Pickett playing card.
00:33:23
But I didn't feel like he was as central to their offensive scheme as I realized today.
00:33:27
- Yeah.
00:33:28
- That I thought was the impressive part about it.
00:33:30
- What do you get?
00:33:32
One pass and touchdown and-- - Two Russian touchdowns.
00:33:34
- Yeah, they're called back.
00:33:36
- Three?
00:33:36
- Oh, yeah.
00:33:37
- No, you have two and a half.
00:33:38
- That a third that didn't pull back.
00:33:40
- No, he had three Russian touchdowns.
00:33:42
Three Russian touchdowns.
00:33:43
- One passing touchdown.
00:33:44
- Right, okay, yeah.
00:33:45
They had seven Russian touchdowns in this game.
00:33:49
- Yeah.
00:33:50
- In history, the combined record for Russian touchdowns in one conference championship weekend was eight.
00:33:57
And the Eagles almost got there by themselves in this game.
00:34:00
- And, I mean, Shipley got walks.
00:34:02
That was depressing.
00:34:03
- I think we'll Shipley prove that running backs don't matter based on what we saw at the end of this game.
00:34:07
(laughing)
00:34:08
- There we go.
00:34:09
Shipley came in and rescued the nerds running backs don't matter.
00:34:12
- I was telling Dominique that when Shipley returned the opening kickoff of the game.
00:34:16
At first I was like, whoa, they're putting sayclon to return kicks.
00:34:19
- Whoa.
00:34:20
- Pulling out all the stuff.
00:34:21
- They're scared of the Mando's.
00:34:23
- They're scared of the Mando's.
00:34:25
- All right, this is too much time not talking about how incredible that defense was.
00:34:29
- It was unbelievable.
00:34:30
- Yeah, it was so good.
00:34:31
I mean, I think Dan Quinn made the point and because I was thinking about this game and like I didn't hate how the commanders played and they were still in the game despite the turnovers.
00:34:44
But Dan Quinn made this point that these were turnovers that were created by the Eagles.
00:34:50
These weren't like the one where the kickoff return just ran into his own guy might have been on the commanders.
00:34:55
I would say they're the two.
00:34:56
- Yeah, it's fair.
00:34:57
- The two punch outs were like deliberate punch outs.
00:35:00
This was not that kickoff wasn't as deliberate.
00:35:03
But I mean, that's a credit to Fangio and that team and that coverage man, they're so good.
00:35:10
They're so good in a second there.
00:35:11
With two rookies that are just, I mean, I know Slay plays outside on nickel situations and Dijin goes inside, but Dijin and Mitchell, I thought were amazing.
00:35:22
If it wasn't for the fact that Jaylen Carter was on his Aaron Donnell (beep)
00:35:26
I think we talk more about Dijin and Mitchell.
00:35:29
And Mitchell's interception.
00:35:31
I already mentioned his celebration, how sick that was, the Terry McLaren trolling.
00:35:37
It was perfect because he had to practice that with his guys which means that he knew he was gonna get it in, or he anticipated an interception over Terry McLaren.
00:35:48
- That's pretty awesome.
00:35:49
- See, you focus on the DBs.
00:35:51
When I was watching that game, obviously I thought about Jaylen Carter and his violent hands.
00:35:55
Jordan Davis ran down Jayden Daniels on the play, Nolan Smith, Heather at Chase Downsack, and Zach Bond.
00:36:03
It felt like the front four and Zach Bond, it just felt like they were completely dominant and blowing off the line off the ball and so many plays.
00:36:13
The thing that really kind of this game to me are the first two drives, right?
00:36:19
Like the commanders, they had two claw and scratch for like six yard gains over and over and over again.
00:36:27
On that first drive, they pick up two four downs and finally they have to settle for a field goal and then just take one, go 60 yards the other way in like 30 seconds and it's just like, oh, okay.
00:36:36
Like it is a lot harder to be the commanders right now than it is to be the Eagles.
00:36:40
And that is of course 'cause the Eagles have four stars but also because I think that defense is so low coach, so well organized, just does not make mistakes.
00:36:47
I go back to almost a year ago now, probably just over a year ago now, Dolphins players were literally tweeting their excitement that Vic Fangio was gone after one season.
00:36:59
- Jeez.
00:37:00
- Oops.
00:37:01
- I've made, Vic has made a lot of, I mean this is the ingredients conversation.
00:37:08
These are great ingredients combined with a great chef.
00:37:11
They weren't that great second half of last year.
00:37:13
I'll tell you that much.
00:37:14
I know they're better.
00:37:15
- I mean, the second half is still.
00:37:17
- There are some changes but either way, I think I'm not trying to take credit away from Vic Fangio.
00:37:22
This has been incredibly impressive.
00:37:23
He deserves credit.
00:37:24
But these guys, those rookies weren't there.
00:37:27
They weren't there last year.
00:37:28
And I do think those were there.
00:37:29
- Jailie Carter had a massive second half of the season slumped his rookie year and this year he went the exact opposite.
00:37:34
- But no one Smith has been great this year.
00:37:36
He was in fact, he was dropping in the coverage last year and no one spent second half last year.
00:37:39
Mapatricia was right in the defense.
00:37:41
- Zach Bond was in-- - I thought the Mapatricia was in St.
00:37:44
Antwerp.
00:37:45
- I'm sure, by the way, is here.
00:37:46
I mean, again, no question there's talent there but you can expect two rookies to be star corner backs and those are stars for the Eagles already.
00:37:57
- Yeah, and I mean, I'm sure Fangio deserves some credit for that also and the rest of their coaches to have because bringing them along.
00:38:04
And I remember beginning to season, the Jean wasn't playing much.
00:38:07
Like they were bringing him along more slowly even though Quinion, I think Quinion started, right?
00:38:11
- Quinion was a better starter, yeah.
00:38:13
- Yeah, and he's been, I mean, the play's the ability to track the ball.
00:38:17
There are some things that just can't teach or coach as much as we want to give credit to coaches but like the comfort in those tough situations that Quinion has is something that you just don't see and the bobbled interception is just-- - Yeah,
00:38:28
they're also both freakishly powerful corner backs.
00:38:31
That's really unique to have guys here that strong and that physical.
00:38:34
- I have a question for you, Charlie.
00:38:37
Since you are our number one commanders fan, you have seen what happened this year.
00:38:42
Like you said, great situation, good coach, good GM, great quarterback, lots of cap space.
00:38:46
Presumably a place people are gonna want to come play now but we just saw the Houston Texans entering to the off season where it felt like the role was their oyster.
00:38:56
They went out, got a bunch of talent and they did get back to exactly where they were in the post season the following year but it felt like they were disappointing.
00:39:02
What is a reasonable 20/25 look like to you for the commanders?
00:39:07
- That's a great question.
00:39:09
I think it would be really easy to be like, oh, this is the start of something we'll be back exactly right here but that is by no means a given in the NFL.
00:39:17
Getting to conference championships like it's certainly not easy.
00:39:21
The I lean towards being pretty aggressive and trying to use the window that Jane Dales on his rookie contract to try and acquire talent to be really competitive.
00:39:30
I think the goal should be being competitive for the entire length of his rookie contract being like a 10 plus win team and improving the defense, improving the offensive line and improving the weapons around him and trusting that,
00:39:44
I mean, Adam Peters hit on his first three draft picks this year with Daniels with Johnny Newton with Sanders Show.
00:39:49
These are not going to do that every single year.
00:39:51
That's almost impossible but continuing to draft at like a reasonably high clip and acquire talent that's not an overpay.
00:40:00
Like, although I think T Higgins is really good and a classic old commander's move would be like, all right, we're going to spend $40 million year on T Higgins that will fix everything.
00:40:09
It's, let's be good up front.
00:40:11
Let's have a good offensive and defensive line and build this sustainably the way that the Eagles have built this, the way that how he, how he roseman looks at, he big, I want him.
00:40:19
(laughs)
00:40:20
He don't go.
00:40:21
He fast.
00:40:22
And fast.
00:40:23
He big, he fast.
00:40:25
And you're not playing for George, yes.
00:40:26
Yeah, yeah, he, how he's not a fan of the cancels.
00:40:29
He's like thin ankles, big fast.
00:40:32
Give me, give me, give me, give me, give me.
00:40:34
Yeah, can we talk about how?
00:40:36
Is that fair though?
00:40:37
Yeah, it's fair.
00:40:38
I think that's fair.
00:40:40
How he roseman is awesome at his job.
00:40:42
I'm not going to discredit how he roseman's side is.
00:40:45
He's cool, he's not cool.
00:40:46
He's definitely not cool.
00:40:47
I'm not going to say he's cool, but he's obviously very good at this job.
00:40:50
It's so funny to me that in the same offseason, he's going to sign the offensive player that you're in Saicwang-Barkley, might sign the defensive player of the year in Zach Bond.
00:41:00
And he also signed Devin White, they cut or, I'm saying for agency, they cut, they cut Devin White, who never played a game for them, gave him like four million dollars guaranteed.
00:41:11
And their biggest signing was Bryce Huff, who barely plays for them and is getting like $16, $17 million a year, like it's incredible that you can be so good and so bad at the same time.
00:41:20
And yet the good stuff obviously outweighs the bad stuff, but we just, this is very hard to do.
00:41:26
I mean, in his defense, and I guess this is the, it's nothing to defend, no, no, I mean, yeah, he's great, but I just mean like the, I guess not in his defense, but I think the negative acquisitions,
00:41:40
the comfort and courage and confidence to move on from those is like a valuable skill also.
00:41:49
- Of course.
00:41:50
- Like admitting that you were wrong as soon as possible and allowing that, not allowing that mistake and your ego connected to the decision, you might get in the way of the playing the best player.
00:42:03
So.
00:42:04
- You also signed McCuy Beckton, got a six foot, - Great.
00:42:07
- $365 guard.
00:42:09
- Great, and they hired Fangio.
00:42:10
- Yeah.
00:42:11
- They're coordinators again.
00:42:12
Bat Patricia was their defensive coordinator by the end of last season.
00:42:15
So upgrading to Fangio, pretty big upgrade.
00:42:17
And Kalen Moore has been really good for them at OC as well.
00:42:20
- Stuck with the great Nick Sireani.
00:42:22
Do we have to have a Sireani talk?
00:42:24
We have to have a Sireani talk.
00:42:25
The man, all he does is win.
00:42:27
- I will say, is, I will say one, you can't hit us one.
00:42:32
- And I will say, is he just like bad at press conference standcamble?
00:42:38
He's so aggressive.
00:42:42
He just wins over and over and over again.
00:42:44
But he's not as good at the press conferences so we don't respect him.
00:42:49
- And he does goofy thing.
00:42:51
- Yeah.
00:42:52
- Yeah.
00:42:53
- He doesn't get a camel with some pick fights with his own fans on the stands.
00:42:58
- I mean, if that's his worth transgression, also talk (beep)
00:43:01
middle to Super Bowl, I know that's gonna come up at some point.
00:43:03
- Did you, it was Brady who was calling the first game, right?
00:43:07
It was like, it was, it was saying that Sireani should turn and talk (beep)
00:43:13
to the fans.
00:43:14
- After he got the gain right for it on him.
00:43:16
- Quality Brady, right?
00:43:17
- I was like, that is, that is Brady who's like, used his sixth round spite for 20 years to become the greatest ball time.
00:43:24
He's going to the Super Bowl so I guess he would get that right.
00:43:27
- It's got another Super Bowl for Brady.
00:43:30
Really adding to his tail and kissing his mums.
00:43:32
- Do we want to talk about Jalen Hertz on the locker room at all?
00:43:36
- Oh yeah, with his pleated khakis.
00:43:40
- His pleated khakis.
00:43:41
- I don't know if I have the credibility to talk about it.
00:43:46
- Yeah, I feel like it should, I feel like the three of us gonna sit around and criticize Jalen Hertz face choice.
00:43:55
- We're leaning heavily on Dominique for this conversation.
00:43:57
- Yeah, I mean, I'm 41, guys.
00:44:00
- I'm 41 with three kids.
00:44:03
It wasn't a look that I thought was cool, but I can't pull it off 'cause I'm old.
00:44:07
- Bill, I bought this sweater and like ran to Dominique and I was like, check out this cool pattern sweater.
00:44:14
I got Dominique, do you like it?
00:44:17
And he was like, he's like, what pattern?
00:44:19
It's just blue.
00:44:20
- Bill.
00:44:21
- No, he's not even doing a good job.
00:44:23
I'm explaining why this sweater frustrated me.
00:44:26
I encourage Charlie.
00:44:30
He's like, come on, man, we doing a live show, man.
00:44:32
So I need you to like, bring out your fly as (beep)
00:44:35
like it's something.
00:44:37
This is like show time.
00:44:38
This is show time.
00:44:39
So this sweater doesn't offend me, but this ain't a show time sweater.
00:44:44
This is like, this is where he pulled out.
00:44:47
So to be clear, Bill, you are throwing a topic on the table.
00:44:51
Asking us to be critical of Jalen Hart's fashion choices when Charlie broke out this diamond pattern sweater.
00:44:58
He was like, hey, I'm a killer with this tortoise shell.
00:45:01
Look, this turquoise ninja turtle.
00:45:04
I pulled off, man.
00:45:06
- I'm here to pass the ball and set picks, man.
00:45:09
- This is a set the pick sweater.
00:45:11
- No, you were big too.
00:45:12
We were joining Pippin at the live show.
00:45:15
And you decided that you wanted to dress like BJ Armstrong.
00:45:18
- And Scottie Pippin was the most underpaid player in the NBA and shopped at JC Penny for most of his run with the bulls.
00:45:24
- Fair point, but on the court, we were shacking Kobe.
00:45:28
How about that?
00:45:29
We could have been shacking Kobe.
00:45:30
I was wondering, but who is the MVP?
00:45:32
I know we don't do playoff, but it's, it's Sake 1 Barclay, right?
00:45:36
If we gave away an MVP of the playoffs.
00:45:38
- The dude having like the best rushing post season in league history after the best, one of the best regular seasons of rushing in league history.
00:45:45
Yeah, I think it's Sake 1.
00:45:46
- Yeah, he's gonna almost certainly break Troll Davis's single-playoff rushing record.
00:45:50
- It's Hockey, right?
00:45:51
Hockey's the league that does a separate MVP for the playoffs.
00:45:55
- Yeah.
00:45:55
- Yeah.
00:45:56
I want to consumise for football just so that we can give it to Sake 1 'cause he could never win a regular season.
00:46:01
- I mean, yeah, and they kind of have that for, I mean, I think it's basketball's easier, but they've added the Eastern Conference MVP and-- - Yeah, they just-- - That's new though.
00:46:10
- And they like named it after-- - Yeah.
00:46:12
- Bird and-- - Yeah, bird magic.
00:46:14
- Magic, yeah.
00:46:15
- We found out MVP is kind of a playoff on the VP of basketball.
00:46:18
- Yeah.
00:46:18
- It's a separate 2018 LeBron, didn't get it.
00:46:21
Sad.
00:46:21
- This is very football related.
00:46:24
You've clearly got on top of here.
00:46:27
- I mean, there, it's, can't get off topic when it's my show.
00:46:31
- Well, it's your show again, thankfully.
00:46:33
- Thankfully you-- - Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:46:35
- We've taken it back.
00:46:35
We were off topic the last few weeks because it was the Charlie Cravings show, but we back.
00:46:40
- I was, I was excited.
00:46:42
The good thing don't happen to me.
00:46:44
- Oh no, I'm not, I was encouraging it.
00:46:46
I was happy to hand this show over 'cause I do think that there's nothing better than like genuine fan excitement.
00:46:52
Only thing better than that is genuine fan sadness.
00:46:55
(buzzer)
00:46:56
Charlie.
00:46:57
- I'm not that, I'm not that sad.
00:46:59
- Don't, please don't put it on the paper that I'm sad.
00:47:02
I'm only like a little bit sad.
00:47:06
Not a lot of it sad.
00:47:07
- This is like a little child who started crying and they're trying to explain to their parents why they're crying.
00:47:12
(laughs)
00:47:14
- I would have been much more sad if Jaden Daniels played like a pumpkin.
00:47:17
If he's Sam Donald, Sam Donald did.
00:47:20
But he looks like he totally looks like he belonged.
00:47:23
- He's set like the other 51 players played like a pumpkin for most of the game.
00:47:26
On our Thursday show, I said the Eagles are better at 51 positions.
00:47:30
- Yeah.
00:47:31
- Well, that was correct.
00:47:33
- Not punter?
00:47:34
- Not punter, not punter.
00:47:35
- And not quarterback.
00:47:36
- That's it, we got ya.
00:47:38
Two most important positions on the field.
00:47:40
- Well, this was fun for the city.
00:47:42
We'll look for it to it next year.
00:47:43
It was too early to pick Super Bowl teams.
00:47:48
- Chiefs are one and a half point favorites.
00:47:50
Do you want an early pick on this?
00:47:52
- Sure, go ahead.
00:47:53
- Do you want me to pick first?
00:47:55
- Oh, I thought you were offering it to me.
00:47:56
- I know, you wanted to take an early pick.
00:47:59
- Sure, Chiefs.
00:48:00
- Eagles.
00:48:01
- Of course, I picked Chiefs all year.
00:48:04
I thought you was gonna happen all season.
00:48:07
I don't think, as long as Carson wins doesn't get in the way, we're good.
00:48:10
- I've been picking the Eagles for almost a day.
00:48:12
- Although, ooh, what if Carson Wentz came back in the Super Bowl for an injured Patrick Ball Holmes and beat the Eagles?
00:48:20
Wouldn't that be incredible?
00:48:21
- It's impossible, also.
00:48:22
- Damn.
00:48:23
Carson Wentz playing in the Super Bowl before deck.
00:48:25
Really tough for you, Dominic.
00:48:26
- It is tough.
00:48:28
All right, I'm gonna go back to my one bedroom shack or this person.
00:48:33
- Charlie's got it.
00:48:34
- Yeah, you still win and still your show.
00:48:36
All right, Bill.
00:48:37
Thank you so much for joining us, man.
00:48:38
Charlie, thank you for being set for us.
00:48:41
(laughing)
00:48:42
All right, thank you, Bill.
00:48:43
Thank you, Charlie.
00:48:44
Thanks, all great producers, Puffer.
00:48:45
I love you, we out.
