Recipe for Success with Guest NSU University School Germ Genie
Just as there are no two recipes that contain the exact same ingredients or measurements, there are no two success stories exactly the same. Recipe For Success features entrepreneurs, visionary leaders and innovators of all ages who will share their ingredients that make them successful – personally and professionally.
Let's get cooking! This episode welcomes the JA Fellows Company Program students from NSU University School's Germ Genie.
Germ Genie came up with an airplane tray table cover to help limit the spread of tray table bacteria and viruses. Their product line has diversified as well, and now includes a travel pack with face masks, gloves, hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes and a head rest cover. This student company has been successful in bringing in revenue and partnering with other businesses to bring awareness to their product.
The team won the JA Company of the Year Award locally and was one of two teams invited to compete at the 2020 JA USA National Student Leadership Summit. There, the students won 2nd Place in the National JA Company of the Year, as well as won The ICE NYSE Foundation Best Financial Performance Award and Delta Social Impact Award.
