Description

Hello and Welcome to the first ever episode of the Business Raw Podcast!

I am so excited to bring you this brand new podcast!
This podcast will shed light into the world of business, by hearing the stories from the people running them.

On our first ever episode I interviewed Alex Latouche from thinkfree (Psychology services) about what it was like to transition from an employee to a business owner, the ups and downs of running a business.

We also discussed, inspiration, motivation, marketing strategies and so much more.

If you are looking at starting a business, already own a business, or just want to be inspired by some amazing stories, this is the podcast and episode for you!

A bit about my Guest Alex:

Alex is a proud husband, father of three, clinical psychologist, peer reviewed published author, and Founder/Director of thinkfree.(psychology services) a growing psychology clinic in Sydney.

Alex’s research in the Journal of Attention Disorders, specifically evaluated a specialised ADHD training program for educators, which was the first of it’s kind in Australia. Since then, Alex has trained over 500 educators to better support children with ADHD and continues to support neurodiverse kids, adults and families with a range of mental health issues in clinical practice each week.

Alex’s business, thinkfree. (psychology services) has gone from one to seven staff in under 18
months with ZERO dollars spent on external marketing/promotion. Alex is obsessed with
overdelivering for his clients, which has resulted in a 100% word-of-mouth marketing model.

Alex believes this one of the best indicators of a successful business, and keeps his mission simple: Strive to make lives better.

As a self-admitted ‘born’ entrepreneur, Alex’s problem is an odd one…he’s purposefully slowing the growth of his business, to be an involved father and husband. Alex has learnt from the mistakes of his past, and now better understands the balance of striving for greatness, while at the same time appreciating the ordinary of each day. He’s learned to stop and smell the roses, yet maintains the passion (and grit) for executing his long-term visions.

The consequences of the ‘greatness at all costs’ attitude is a story often ignored in the romanticised ‘entrepreneur journey’, and Alex dissects his mindset and defines his own version of success in business and life in this episode.
