Description
Rep. Mike Quigley, 5th District, joins Lisa Dent to discuss the effect the government shutdown, and ICE raids have had on his district. When asked about his possible candidacy for Chicago’s 2027 mayoral election, Rep. Quigley did not rule out the possibility of him being interested in being a part of Chicago’s future. However, considering the pressing circumstances of a government shutdown and the presence of federal ICE agents and National Guard members affecting his constituents, he says his priority is working with other members of Congress to find a solution to the matters at issue.
