In fair Verona we lay our scene for this week’s episode, as we were joined by Richard Hough. Richard has lived in Verona for the past 15 years and is a season ticket holder at Hellas Verona. His love for the club led to him writing the book ‘Verona Campeone: the Miracle of 85’ which came out this year - a book chronicling the team that won an unlikely Scudetto in 1985. We talked about the book, some of the great characters to feature for Hellas Verona for that Scudetto triumph - and over the years since - and why Bentegodi is a great place to watch football, even if the stadium is a bit battered and ruined.
