She is affectionately known as ‘The Aussie Angel Lady’ and is the author of a series of inspirational Angelic teachings that are collectively known as ‘The Angels Toolbox’. Michelle is a clairvoyant, Angelic medium and Earth Angel. Director of AOK Angels and the founder of The Angels of Kindness Fund & The AOK Angels Academy.

Janet: Hello and welcome everybody. It’s Janet Beckers here and welcome to Rising Stars Radio. This is where we share the stories of ordinary people who are taking … Doing extraordinary things to just get their business out to the world to be making a bigger impact. Now, when I say ordinary people of course no, you’re not ordinary dear listeners and certainly our wonderful guest Michelle Newton from AOK Angels is certainly not ordinary. A very special woman who has been part of our wonderful web community for the last year and I’ve really enjoyed just seeing her step-by-step going through and applying and just putting herself out of her comfort zone and getting results. Really, really rewarding to see that, so wonderful to welcome you here, Michelle.

Michelle: Thank you, Janet. It’s an absolute pleasure and an honor to talk to you, it really is. I’m so excited.

Janet: So am I, that’s great. Now, my intention is for us to be able to give as much value as we can to people today in about 20 minutes that’s going to help them as they’re growing their business and expanding it, so that they’re really building up, an authority platform and building their trade online. To be able to learn the way that you’ve been able to take steps, how to get started and we’d love to hear a bit more about you. Would you mind sharing, Michelle who it is that you help and how it is that you do that?

Michelle: Sure, Janet. Look, my reach is fairly wide. I help a lot of people, so I have a wide range of people that I help. Probably, my main target area is around about the 30 years of age to 65-year-old woman. I do have a lot of men who are interested in my work as well, so I’m a spiritual teacher and a healer, so I’m here to help people develop spiritually in their lives so that they can just cope with life every day. Just to give people hope really and I have a really big, strong theme of spreading kindness worldwide. I love to work with earth angels and I love to support them and see how we can make this place a much happier and better place.

Janet: What a beautiful thing to have as your mission of giving people hope and spreading kindness, that’s just a lovely way to build your business. Now, tell me how do you help people like if people come to you to be able to learn and to get help, how do they do that? I’m curious about the way that you structure your business, if it’s offline, if it’s online, how you … What kind of offerings and things you’ve put together?

Michelle: Well, Janet I have quite a diverse business, I initially started online with an online angel shop which of course has my blog, so people can learn off that. I have a beautiful range of inspirational gifts and angel products and also that was a platform where I launched my self-published works. I’ve actually got a collection of written workbooks, oracle cards, meditation CDs which now has really come together and it’s called the Angel’s Toolbox. Its tools for people to take use and to connect with the angels and to make their life easier. Initially, it was online and then once I really focused on writing books and oracle cards and so forth, I had to get them out there into the world.

I traveled Australia doing the large mind, body, spirit expose in the capital cities, but also initially little, tiny, small exposure. I just drove everywhere with my books and cards and I meet people and we sold beautiful crystals and angels and my books and so forth, so I marketed myself that way. Initially I started online was the main focus to reach people but also traveling and going out and actually meeting people and sharing my work. Giving them an angel card and then I’d get a little message, then we make a connection and then join my community and that’s how it started and it’s growing from there.

Janet: Wow. Fantastic so to give people an idea of how we know each other and how we’ve been working together. You had already setup your shop that had been going and as you’ve been saying it’s quite a while, you’ve already been travelling. You’ve built up a part of your brand, what have you been working with May? What program have you done and then we’ll look at why that particular program was important for you?

Michelle: Yes. I did the Me TV program with you Janet which was absolutely fantastic because I didn’t have the knowledge on how to do video at all. I had a video camera. It was given to me by my sons and it sat in the box for two years. I didn’t even know how to turn it on. I needed the knowledge because I knew I had to reach more people and that video was the perfect way to do it.

Janet: The thing that I quite like about … and then this is an important thing for people who are listening to know is that as you’re building your business, sometimes you will need to have a program that’s going to guide you step-by-step from the beginning. Michelle had already started to do some of those things, so as you’re going through and you can identify in your business, “I need help on this particular strategy. This is what I’m up to now” is you can then go and find a program that helps you with that specific strategy.

Some programs may have all those different strategies like that Shine program but if you’re finding that you just need okay like Michelle, “video, I’ve got to get it out there.” Focus on that because what a lot of people do wrong is they will try to do everything at once, Rather than identify the thing that’s important and just focus and master it. That’s what you’ve done actually; you’ve really had from observing, you’ve had a lovely discipline of actually starting from the very, very beginning and just working methodically through the program and taking action and getting results.

Michelle: Yeah, it was really, really important. I think I highlighted it Janet when I was doing the mind, body, spirit expose. I was looking at what people were really after and someone said to me once that, “It’s really important to give people what they want so that they get what they need.” I was doing teaching like seminars and this expose and so forth and that was going okay. Then all of a sudden people were wanting to get an oracle card of me and get a message so I identified that, that’s really what they want. They really want to have that hope, they want to have that message. They want to somehow know that it’s all going to be okay or give them a strategy to move forward in life.

I started to change it up and I started to do angelic readings, focus in platform work and in seminars instead. I noticed I’m packing the room. People were standing outside the room and after I’d do that session then they’d come and purchase my book or my card deck and they make connection with me on Facebook. They’d go to my online shop you see so because I was giving them actually what they wanted. I wasn’t focusing on what they needed. I actually shifted the focus to what do they want, what is it that the customer actually wants?

Janet: It’s like a chocolate coated carrot isn’t it?

Michelle: Yeah.

Janet: This is what they need, they need the carrots but you put a little bit of chocolate on it. What they really, really want and that’s what gets them in. From what you sound from doing that offline and changing that focus, is that what you then brought into your videos?

Michelle: Absolutely, because that’s what I started with. I’ve called myself published group of books and so forth; the Angels Toolbox because it’s the tool to connect with the angels.
