This sermon emphasizes that grace does not make obedience optional but makes it possible. Becoming a Christian means a change of masters, moving from slavery to sin into joyful service to God. It is not simply adding religion to life but receiving a new heart that loves righteousness, a new purpose that seeks holiness, and a new end that leads to life with Christ. Though the path of discipleship can feel costly, it is marked by freedom, joy, and the assurance that in Jesus the end is not wages we earn but the gift of eternal life we could never deserve.
