Imagine, as a parent, your 14-year-old son tells you he wants to move more than 10,000kms away to a country so foreign, its difficult for you to even picture it.

Rugare Gomo’s parents though, took it in their stride, embracing their son’s dream and helping him turn it into a reality.  They had taught their children the value of living boldly, being true to themselves and leading their lives with faith, integrity and kindness.

When Rugare found himself in Australia two years later, he faced difficulties unfamiliar to those he had encountered in his Zimbabwean home.   

With strength and determination, he conquered every challenge that came his way and credits these challenges to the man he is today.
