Holy cow - 1.1 million have left the Southern Baptist church in the past three years? I hate to say this, but a) good, the fewer Christo-fascists the better, and b) they have completely brought this upon themselves. I've been completely disgusted with American "Christians" since 2016, and the best thing they could do for themselves and the country is to completely disband, do some serious, serious reflection and introspection, and then come back as real Christians, who actually believe in and try to emulate the teachings of Jesus instead of using the Bible to justify their appalling bigotry and misogyny.

wow! What a ray of sunshine from my boyhood denomination and on & off up thru my thirties. I converted to RC, which was a breath of fresh air until the outing of cover up of pedophile priests. However, I don't hear political innuendo from the pulpit. So, I know why I left my SBC Church. Racism, which was prominent in Houston, in the 40's & 50's. I'm 82. Great guest, Pastor Russell Moore. If his type would have been around back then, who knows, I might still have been a member of an SBC church.
