The episode references the process outlining 5 stages of grief from Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, formally known as ‘The five stages of grief model (or the Kübler-Ross model), in her 1969 book ‘On Death and Dying’, the Swiss-American psychiatrist documents a model from her research that those experiencing grief go through a series of five emotions: 


- Denial
- Anger
- Bargaining, 
- Depression, and 
- Acceptance
