Senator Hassan discusses her work in the Senate as the senior Democrat on the Senate Subcommittee on Oversight and Emergency Management of the Homeland Security Committee. Senator Hassan also discusses the impact the pandemic has had on her personally, as she tries to keep her family, including her son who has severe cerebral palsy, healthy and safe. This episode also features an interview with Rebecca Cokley, a disability rights activist and Director of the Disability Justice Initiative at the Center for American Progress. Rebecca discusses the challenges this pandemic has presented to persons with disabilities.
