'I was 25 when my father, unfortunately, died in an accident on the farm. That basically puts a massive, great rocket up you on the basis that the responsibility of the custodianship of handing it on to another generation, or to looking after the generation that was there, like my sisters and my mother. Suddenly that responsibility suddenly became 100% truly mine.'

Tim Mead's family are true pioneers in the organic farming world starting back in the 1960's with only one Somerset farm and making yoghurt with left over milk from the clotted cream which they sold locally. Today Yeo Valley is one of the UK's top 100 brands and still remains a privately owned company. Tim and his team have grown his father's legacy into a company which has moved with the times yet remained so solid and true to its roots.
