For Kylie, a business major at NTNU, these delicious Indonesian cuisines bring up precious memories and time with friends and families from home, Surabaya.

對目前就讀國立台灣師範大學企管系的Kylie來說,這些印尼料理不只是家鄉泗水(Surabaya)的味道,更是她與家人、朋友一起共度時光的珍貴回憶。



In search of comfort food in Taiwan, Kylie and her senior friend from Jakarta decided to take our love for Indonesian cuisine to the next level. They opened a small food and beverage business called Indociak.

來到台灣之後,她開始尋找熟悉、能讓自己感到慰藉的食物,最後決定和一位來自雅加達的學姊,將對印尼料理的熱愛轉化為實際行動——一起創辦了小型餐飲品牌 Indociak。



Indo" is short for Indonesia. “Ciak” is from Hokkien language, which means “to eat.” “Ciak peng”(食飯)--having a meal–is a common phrase in Taiwan’s everyday life.

「Indo」代表印尼,「Ciak」則是來自閩南話,意思是「吃」,像是台灣人常說的「食飯(Ciak peng)」,就是「吃飯」的意思。這個名字不只是兩人文化背景的結合,也代表了Indociak

的核心理念:用食物拉近人與人之間的距離。



*Note: According to the Ministry of Education’s Dictionary of Frequently-Used Taiwan Minnan, the standard pronunciation and definition is “食飯 tsia̍h-pn̄g” (to eat rice/a meal).

Indociak served their classmates and other customers by selling homemade traditional snacks, Indonesian crackers, and lunch boxes. The business lasted a year (2022-2023), even participating at the NTNU International Cultural Festival. Indociak not only helped bridge cultures through food and community, but also helped Kylie find a little piece of home in Taiwan.

Indociak主要提供自製的印尼家鄉點心、印尼餅乾和便當,客群以同學和朋友為主;從2022年營運到2023年,還曾參加師大國際文化節(NTNU International Cultural Festival)。這段經營歷程,不只是一場創業實驗,更讓Kylie在異鄉找到了一份屬於自己的「家」和連結。



✨ Introduction to Indonesian food(印尼小吃介紹)✨


  •  Sate Ayam(雞肉串):a chicken skewer served with a creamy spiced peanut sauce and combined with compressed rice cake in the form of a cylinder wrapped inside a banana leaf. 以香料醃製的雞肉串燒,搭配濃郁的花生醬,並與用香蕉葉包裹蒸製的印尼傳統米糕一起享用。

  •  Ayam Geprek(森巴醬辣炸雞排):crispy battered fried chicken crushed and mixed with hot and spicy sambal. 酥脆的炸雞排淋上用大量辣椒製成的森巴醬(Sambal),辣勁十足,口感過癮。

  •  Nasi Padang(巴東飯):a Minangkabau dish of steamed rice served with various choices of pre-cooked dishes originating from West Sumatra, Indonesia. 來自印尼西蘇門答臘的料理,白飯搭配多樣預先烹煮好的配菜,像是咖哩、牛肉、辣炒蔬菜等,自由搭配、風味豐富。
