As millions of homes and businesses were left without power due to Hurricane Ida, we found that Enerty, New Orleans' only utility, has had decades of reports and recommendations to reduce their reliance on fossil fuels, and use renewable energy to strengthen the grid. Instead, they've fought climate-related recommendations and legislation as recently as 2020.
