The RCMP on this case is a complete joke!!! Clearly no one working there is competent and doing their job even remotely well!! The woman (Janet I think her name is) is clearly lying and covering up as well as the two officers that were on the case back when this actually took place. What a huge f**k up all for the sake of not having to put more work in because they were busy trying to frame a (probably) innocent man. Do the right thing and make it right!! This episode is infuriating. My thoughts go out to Kerrie's family.

I just listened to this for the 2nd time and it still startled me the way the rcmp lie so much! Has anyone ever considered that the rcmp are protecting a valuable Confidential Informant? #1 the 2 original investigators had a conversation about the call and were over-heard #2 the chick from rcmp who can't answer a question from Dave completely is clearly hiding something #3 the acknowledgement that there is A SECOND ADDITIONAL FILE!!

My guess is that the French officer absolutely knew who the caller was when she played the tape for him over the phone. Then he worked with John and Dennis to cover it up to keep the kid out of trouble. Maybe John was reluctant and had an argument with Dennis about it. That's what Jean Marc overheard.

those cops were so so so so obviously lying about that phone call! I'm so impressed with David that he was able to be so respectful while talking to them after talking to Marnie cuz I would not have been able to keep my cool while being so blatantly lied to like that

Are the RCMP the ones in the red outfits who ride horses? I must say, if the RCMP is supposed to be Canada's premier law enforcement agency (the equivalent of the FBI) then they should be ashamed of themselves for the way this investigation was handled. Shoddy police work all the way around.

What a load of total shit! The RCMP should be ashamed of their: lack of honesty, covering up for its officer's, not doing its due diligence and for straight up lying and effusiveness. My heart goes out to Kerrie's poor family for the absolute shoddy police work. (I naively thought the RCMP was better than this...nope! Same collusion and dishonesty as everywhere else.)
