Description

In this short reflection episode, I take you behind the scenes of an eye-opening lecture by IPCC Chair Prof. Jim Skea during a side event held in the UON in Nairobi. We explore how the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)works, key insights from the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6), and how African scientists, including ocean and climate experts , are contributing to the Seventh Assessment Cycle (AR7).

You’ll hear my takeaways on Africa’s climate vulnerability, challenges in literature review, climate finance flows, and the critical role of early career scientists.

Let’s keep pushing for inclusive, science-driven climate action.
