Description
These days, women empowerment is at the top of many people's lists, but it wasn't always like this.
When KCBS Radio first went on the air all the way back in 1909, not only was it a different time for radio, but also women.
That same year, one of state's oldest women's organizations—which is based in the South Bay—was formally incorporated in the California Federation of Women's Clubs.
To hear more about its history, KCBS Radio news anchors Patti Reising and Bret Burkhart were joined in-person at History San Jose located in the Pacific Hotel Building with Lisa Buchanan, President of San Jose Woman's Club.
