A USC alum, Sara left a dream job at ESPN to start a lip cosmetics company from her kitchen in 2005.
Using mixing bowls and sugar, she created the first-ever lip scrub. For 19 years, Sara Happ, Inc. has focused on doing one thing perfectly: lips. Sara Happ products are sold at Saks, Nordstrom, Revolve, and in 26 countries.
Sara started with $19K in seed money and never took outside investment after that. The company was acquired in December 2023 by BGM Ventures.
Sara now has her dream job as founder and global creative director, where she dreams up first-to-market lip products and works with her incredible team to solve every lip problem in a delicious, gorgeous, and instantaneous way.
