Despite his impressive stats, he finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting, behind Indianas Fernando Mendoza, who made history as the Hoosiers first-ever winner. Sayins fourth-place finish was the highest for an Ohio State quarterback since 2022, and he was one of three Buckeyes in the top ten. Mendoza secured the Heisman with 2,362 points, including 643 first-place votes, while Sayin received 432 points and 8 first-place votes.
