Description
The First Episode of The New Pope picks up where the 2016 HBO hit The Young Pope ended with the Pope's serious medical condition. The show picks up with Pope Pius in a coma after his heart attack. He undergoes a heart transplant which did not take. Now Vioello and the gang of Cardinals are forced to vote for a new Pope.
