2026 marks Season 5 of the Affirmations for Black Girls Podcast, and this year feels different.

Last season was about stepping into “Big Deal” energy — moving boldly, raising standards, and owning every room. But this season? It’s about what happens after the confidence.

It’s about releasing control. After realizing she was carrying faith in her prayers but fear in her posture, Tyra is entering a new era — one rooted in alignment, surrender, and deeper trust in God’s timing.

This season explores high-functioning anxiety, Type A tendencies, the pressure of personal timelines, and the quiet fear of “what if it doesn’t happen for me?” It’s about believing that what God has planned isn’t smaller than your dreams — it’s exceedingly, abundantly above them.

No more gripping the wheel. No more negotiating with God. No more mistaking control for responsibility.

Season 5 is about being anchored — in faith, in identity, and in the truth that what’s meant for you will never miss you.

This year, we’re not forcing. We’re aligning. This isn’t a season of passivity. It’s a season of obedience. Of surrender and of deeper trust.
