The news section is short and sweet as the boys put their two pence in about the controversy that arose from Ivorian Doll’s Daily Duppy on GRM Daily. An opportunity she used to continue her long-running beef with Abigail Asante and MISS RFABULOUS (28:45 ). Rounding up this week’s episode is an in-depth interview with Marcus J. Moore where they discuss his origins for wanting to write the very first Kendrick Lamar biography. The conversation also moves into the importance of key moments in his career like the ‘Control’ verse to losing several Grammys to Macklemore in 2014. While also discussing the space, he occupies in Black America’s heart and psyche and how he followed the innovative paths set by Miles Davis and A Tribe Called Quest (41:26 ).
