The story of Ruth and Naomi is one that highlights many of God's characteristics including his compassion and provision. We see the introduction of the Kinsman-Redeemer and how God used the seemingly insignificant events in Ruth's story to connect her to the lineage of David and ultimately, to be mentioned in the lineage of Jesus.
