The Bolton system will use old railway lines, offering private, electric, and on-demand service. Its designed to be cost-effective, space-efficient, and emission-free. Beyond self-driving vehicles, TfGM plans to use AI in traffic lights and drones to manage congestion. These initiatives aim to reduce car journeys by half in Greater Manchester by 2050.
