Today’s verse is a powerful reminder to think before you believe:

👉 Proverbs 14:15 (CSB)

“The inexperienced one believes anything, but the sensible one watches his steps.”

💡 What does that mean?

Solomon is talking about two kinds of people:

  The inexperienced—who believe anything they hear

  
  


• 
  

  The sensible—who slow down, think it through, and choose carefully

You hear a story in class about someone messing up, and it spreads fast. You believe it. You even pass it along.

Later—you find out it wasn’t true.

Now someone feels embarrassed and hurt, and you wish you had asked more questions.

That’s the power of thinking before believing.

It’s not just smart—it’s kind.

   Pause before you believe, repeat, or post anything.

   If something sounds sketchy—it probably is.

   Be someone who watches their steps, not someone who just follows the crowd.

Ask your child:

“What’s one time you believed something too quickly and later found out it wasn’t true?”
