If you love pop, but hate the indiscernible lyrics and three chord banality of today’s pop, you will flat out adore Melina Gerges. She’s a rare combination of high musical intellect (as you’d expect of a classically trained Italian opera diva), great range and perfect pitch, with the ability to write modern songs that pour from her soul into yours. 

Born in the US of Egyptian parents, Melina and her husband live in Houston where she helps support the Texas Children’s Hospital and their Heal Sick Children campaign with benefit concerts. The couple are expecting their first child in February.

Her bio says Melina is a “sophisticated American pop singer with a distinctly sassy, European vibe.” We couldn’t have said it better.
