Show 68 - BLITZ Human Resources
Update: 2022-03-07234
Description
The Atlantic Slave Trade mixes centuries of human bondage with violence, economics, commerce, geo-political competition, liberty, morality, injustice, revolution, tragedy and bloody reckonings. That sounds like a lot, yet this show merely scratches the surface of this enormous subject.

Wow, brutal episode. Hard to wrap my head around the level of suffering
the slave trade was financially backed and ran by jews
what an amazing introduction to my first Dan Carlin podcast how you viewed slavery through different points of view made for a great listening pleasure.
Haven't even listened to this yet but just knew the comments would be littered with odd reactionary snowflake crybabies being triggered by the opinion that slavery is wrong and a bad thing. People are so weird.
look into who financed the slave trade, who owned the ships and markets Bergs, Steins and Schlomos!
Guess where my headphones died and my phone decided to blast out loud. "And the children were raped continuously" OMG!
My boyfriend just listened to this episode. His commentary has ruined my viewing experience of the new season of Bridgerton.
ah yes the only slave trade that ever happened in the history of mankind. but let's not give credits to the culture that finally ended slavery in their own countries as well as in most of the rest of the world (where it did not exist, of course...)
Great episode, too bad the reactionaries and racists will have heart attacks about anyone pointing out the facts of how BRUTAL SLAVERY WAS.
Don't like this episode at all
Mind blowing! Head spinning! Wow!
just turned dad for the first time, and now this as An extra! Thanks Dan
I mean, did you make a point anywhere, Dan? Anywhere at all? This is undergrad level history here: regurgitation, regurgitation, regurgitation. every american has heard all of this a thousand times a week for the last 25 years. bring something new to the conversation like an actual analysis of why Haiti is such a shithole. why the DR is such a shithole? even though both of these failed states are, literally, physically located in paradise.
omg yes how did I not see this two days ago!!
Thank you sir!
This made my week.
Ever since discovering HH, a new episode has felt like a new epic movie release that is actually worth the hype.
Just finished it, and I loved it. I know we only get two episodes a year, but that is worth the wait.
oh hell yeah.
Monday morning just got a whole lot better
