Description

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is firing back at U.S. tariffs, warning President Donald Trump that they violate CUSMA, which he himself signed. Smith warned that Alberta is ready to take its oil and gas elsewhere.

She’s also calling on Trump to step up border security, arguing Alberta is doing its part while the U.S. falls short.

Plus, the province is moving forward with “compassionate intervention” for drug users, and introducing new involuntary treatment centres to tackle addiction.

And in Jasper, displaced residents are finally starting to return home as interim housing units open up.
