Sonya Massey's Murder could have been Avoided!!!
Description
On July 6, 2024, Sonya Massey, a 36-year-old Black woman, was fatally shot by Deputy Sean Grayson inside her home in Springfield, Illinois. Massey had called 911 to report a prowler near her residence. Upon arriving, deputies allowed her to remove a boiling pot from her stove, but shortly after, Grayson, who was in an adjacent room, ordered her to put down the pot and then shot her three times, hitting her in the face. Grayson did not activate his body camera until after the shots were fired, but the incident was captured on another deputy's camera. Grayson has been indicted on charges including first-degree murder and aggravated battery. The shooting has sparked significant community outcry and calls for justice and police reform, with supporters gathering at the Springfield NAACP headquarters to show solidarity with Massey's family. www.youtube.com/@CrimsonBrosNetwork?sub_confirmation=1
