Seattle Sounders homegrown midfielder Danny Leyva, aged 22, has transferred to Club Necaxa in Mexicos Liga MX. Leyva, who spent seven seasons with the Sounders, made over 100 appearances and recorded one assist. He joined the Sounders academy at a young age and played for their affiliate, Tacoma Defiance, and even had a loan spell with the Colorado Rapids. Leyva, a native of Las Vegas, also represented the US at the 2019 FIFA Under-Seventeen World Cup. The Sounders GM, Craig Waibel, praised Leyvas professionalism and growth, wishing him success in his new venture. Leyva expressed gratitude for the Sounders impact on his career and emphasized that Seattle will always be a significant part of his journey.
