Spark DEI in Sports with Elladj Baldé
Description
Révolutionnaire co-founders Justice + Nia guest co-host this special Be Revolutionary episode of Spark by Révolutionnaire with special guest Elladj Baldé. The three have a conversation about the importance of DEI and mental health in sports as well as the impacts of climate change and the work of Elladj's organization: Skate Global Foundation
As a Canadian figure skating veteran with over 15 years of competitive experience on the world stage, he is now one of the most sought-after professional skaters in the world today, renowned for his innovative and soulful approach to his craft, dynamic infusion of dance, and his innate musicality and charisma both on and off the ice. Elladj remains the first Black male figure skater to join the cast of Stars on Ice Canada, and the first Black skater, male or female, to join since 1992. Elladj hopes young BIPOC skaters can look to him to feel like there is a place for them on the ice.
