The Sooners have been hard at work preparing for their upcoming season, and the energy coming out of the Switzer Center just feels different, with more of the positive energy surrounding OU's defensive prospects landed by Venables staff via recruiting and the transfer portal in the 2023 cycle.
Dillon Gabriel, Jackson Arnold, and the Jeff Lebby offense look equally impressive, but it's been a long time since Sooner fans have had this much to be excited about when it comes to the potential of the OU defense.
If it lives up to the early hype, or anywhere close to it, Oklahoma is looking to contend for a Big 12 championship in its final season in the conference prior to the much-anticipated Move to the SEC in 2024.
