Sri Lanka Cyclone recovery: Food prices skyrocket after crop, livestock losses
Update: 2025-12-06
Description
Sri Lanka has asked the International Monetary Fund for an additional 200 million dollars, to help rebuild after Cyclone Ditwah. With crops destroyed and devastating livestock losses - food prices have skyrocketed. Al Jazeera’s Minelle Fernandez reports from Mirigama, where residents are worried about additional challenges.
