U.S. Congressional leaders have reached agreement on a $900B package to provide the first new aid in months to an economy hammered by the coronavirus pandemic, the Senate’s top Republican and Democrats said on Sunday, but it remained unclear when Congress would vote to seal the deal. After living in a global pandemic for almost a whole year, people have been evicted, experienced job loss, unspeakable mourning, and the like. Now we are supposed to be grateful to our elected leaders for providing starving constituents a paltry $600 while said politicians earn $130,000 per year.
