Oh hai Burner Babes. We're gabbing this week about how only stupid, ugly people want to install surveillance cameras around our city. Mayor Bruce Harrell has decided that the Seattle Police Department needs literally more than 365 cameras across the city, a move that will threaten the safety of immigrants, people seeking abortions, and anyone in Seattle unlucky enough to be caught on grainy camera feed near the scene of a crime. On the couch to talk about this is BJ Last, from Stop Surveillance City, and returning guest Justin Ward, head of DivestSPD. Reminder that to stop Seattle morphing into the panopticon, submit a public comment by Sept. 9.
