Dr Jonathan Wroot is a Senior Lecturer in Film Studies at University of Greenwich and his research looks into Japanese cinema; transnational cinema. Jonathan's research has encompassed DVD special features; Japanese anime and processes of subtitling and dubbing; feature film adaptations of anime.

  • We talked about a heart warming research project where Jon is working to preserve UK based Neo magazine that  covers east asian popular culture which has recently stopped publishing. How through creating partnerships, exhibitions and events this precious cultural resources can be kept alive and a source of knowledge for many, particularly our younger generation.
