Born and raised between Kaimuki and Kāneʻohe, Sue graduated from Star of the Sea High and attended Gonzaga University for a degree in Italian Studies. Spending 20 years away from the islands, she has worked in travel industry management, sales and marketing, newspaper editing, professional development training and human resources.

Sue became a licensed Medicare insurance agent in 2018 after looking into Medicare for her future retirement. She believes in going the extra mile to serve clients and considers it a privilege to help kūpuna.

Sue teaches yoga and myofascia rolling classes in her free time, and enjoys SUP in Kāneʻohe Bay. She is a member of First Presbyterian Koʻolau and a contributing writer for Kāneʻohe Magazine.
