Pl: Gdy złote liście opadały na ziemię, wiatr niósł z nimi chłodne wspomnienia dawnej Warszawy.
En: As the golden leaves fell to the ground, the wind carried with them the cool memories of old Warszawa.

Pl: Katarzyna, Marek i Antek przedzierali się przez spustoszone miasto.
En: Katarzyna, Marek, and Antek made their way through the ravaged city.

Pl: Ruiny otaczały ich dookoła, a cisza, którą przerywały tylko odgłosy kroków, była przytłaczająca.
En: Ruins surrounded them on all sides, and the silence, broken only by the sound of footsteps, was overwhelming.

Pl: Każdy dzień był walką o przetrwanie.
En: Every day was a battle for survival.

Pl: Katarzyna, z determinacją wypisaną na twarzy, prowadziła swoją małą grupę.
