Recorded before a live audience at the Baltimore Theatre Project, "FORTUNATO'S FATAL MISFORTUNE" stars Mark Redfield as "Montresor" and Chris Pfingsten as "Fortunato". The play was adapted from Poe's short story "The Cask Of Amontillado" and directed by Tony Tsendeas. Mike Moran created the live sound effects and Dave Crandall created the electronic ambience. Music by Jennfer Rouse and the audio engineer is Bill Dickson of Drat Productions.

Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado" was published in November 1846, in Godey's Lady's Book.
