THROWING AWAY MY FIVE YEAR PLAN | THE UNTO PODCAST EP. 15
Description
...Or at least renovating it. I used to be the girl who had a large portion of my life planned out, and found myself entirely frustrated and overwhelmed when things didn't pan out the way I thought they would or I couldn't see the exact way that things would work out. The more I wrestled with these experiences and feelings, the more I began to understand why Jesus tells us to live one day at a time, to trust Him, and to take up His easy yoke and light burden. I began to learn to say "God willing" about my plans and take life one day at a time. Do I still have goals and aspirations? Surely. But the key is that I've learned to hold them with an open hand before God and try my best to live in a place of surrender.
Our ability to pivot is so important in our walk with God. The Spirit truly is like the wind, and if we want to live the lives that He has for us (the ultimate best), we have to learn to say "yes" to the Lord when He asks us to do things that we may not ever have expected to do, or when we expected to do it.
So what's the five year plan? Trust + follow God, and keep it movin'. Here's to trusting in the promises and plans of God.
future, planning, trusting God, how to trust God, overcome fear
