Ramdev Baba appeared in
the house of Ajmalji, the ruler of Runicha in 1409. Baba may have belonged to a
family of kings but he devoted his entire life to the welfare of the people and
helping the poor. Baba Ramdev was the first to oppose untouchability. There is
a very interesting story about Ramdev Baba becoming Pir Baba Ramdev. Today Baba
is a symbol of faith for both Hindus and Muslims.

When the stories of Baba
Ramdev's miracles reached Mecca, five pirs from there came to Rajasthan to test
him. When the Peers arrived, Baba Ramdev made them sit with respect to feed
them food. As soon as they started pouring the food, a peer said that he had
forgotten his bowl in Mecca and we could not eat without it. Ramdev Baba said,
okay, you will be fed food in your bowls only. As soon as he said this, Baba
revealed everyone's bowls there. Seeing the miracle, all the priests bowed
before him. Five Pirs gave the title of Pir to Baba.
