Temeaka's Painless Freebirth after VBAC
Description
In this episode Temeaka remembers her three very different births. In her first birth she did no preparation and went in "trusting" the hospital and midwives would take care of her. She was induced at 40 + 2 and her birth ended in an "emergency cesarean". After her cesarean her friend told her what a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) was and she became determined she would have one. It was difficult to find a care provider to support her choices and even when she did they still tried to induce her as she neared 42 weeks. She trusted her baby and body and she did get her VBAC in hospital. It wasn't quite what she wanted but she learnt more lessons and decided she would never birth in hospital again. She took 4 years to heal, process and prepare for a conscious conception and had a beautiful painless freebirth.
